20th High Desert Celtic Festival
August 9th is the 20th Annual High Desert Celtic Festival taking place at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Madras.. Your entire family can come for $30, Adults for $10, and Students, Seniors and Society members for $6. Come and watch the sanctioned Highland games, watch Highland dancing, learn about all the Celtic nations, pipers compete in the piping competition. Or, sit back and be transported to an earlier time in Scotland and Ireland when battle cries filled the air and strange, unheard-of creatures roamed the night. Or better yet, get on your feet and let your body move to ancient rythms and forgotten sounds of The Wicked Tinkers.
