The Century West area is comprised of the area along Century Drive from Mount Washington Drive to the national forest land up toward Mount Bachelor, and the area along Mount Washington Drive from Century Drive up north to Skyliner Road. If you are into kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, mountain biking or golf this might be the area for you. Century Drive is your gateway to recreation. During the winter months this is the road that takes you up to the Mount Bachelor Ski Resort along with numerous other snow parks for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling or sledding. During the rest of the year Century Drive leads to all the high lakes with excellent fishing, hundreds of miles of singletrack for mountain biking or trail running, numerous launch points for your white water kayak fix, and amazing mountain hikes and scenery that will make your camera finger tire with use.
As for you golfers out there, this area currently boasts two golf resorts with a third on its way! Widgi Creek Golf Club is located along Century Drive just a little past the city limits, and Broken Top Golf Club is a private golf club situated along Mount Washington Drive. The Tetherow Golf Resort is currently being constructed just outside the city limits between Century Drive and Skyliner Road. The Tetherow Golf Resort will feature a championship golf course designed by David McLay Kidd who is one of the leading golf course architects in the world.
